Highlights with Arthur - Week 4 cont.

Dale and I got this for Christmas from my brother and his wife. What an awesome present!!! It seems like someone who has been married for 14 years should already have one of these but we don't. The other night we had grilled cheese sandwiches for dinner and cooking them on a griddle is sooooo much easier! I used to make them two at a time in a frying pan and everyone was always saying "Can I have another sandwich" before I could even give everyone their first one. My family probably thought I was nuts because I was so excited about having 8 sandwiches ready at a time. If that is the only thing I ever use it for, it will be worth it! We did use it for the first time at our Primary breakfast. I plan on using it for breakfasts in the future for our family. Thanks for the great gift!
We had our first activity, as a new primary presidency, yesterday. Our ward hasn't done the traditional "Meet your teacher" breakfast for a few years so we decided to start that up again. It was a great activity with a great turn out. There were only a few families who weren't there. We think we had about 140 kids there. We fed the kids pancakes and recruited our husbands to do the cooking. They did a great job and only had to reset the breakers once. We also had the kids make bags with the handprints on them for their new teachers. I think it was a great activity and we are thrilled that we already have our 1st quarter activity taken care of. I'm so thankful for my new calling. I love it and finally feel like I am where I belong!
