A trip to Grandma's new house

This last weekend we took a trip to Pocatello to see Grandma's new house. She is all moved in and her house is beautiful! This picture was taken on her deck. She has a fabulous view and we really enjoyed sitting out on the deck visiting. It was a great weekend to go because I was able to eat at my favorite little drive in, Ross Park Drive In. It closes tomorrow till next spring. It was yummy! I don't think I'll be able to visit Pocatello again until after the baby is born because the drive is too hard to take being this fat. We love going there and we are so happy that Gladys finally has her home and is so happy!

Primary Program

Today was our kids primary program. This is the only program that all of my kids will be in together. Kyson is a sunbeam and Jadon is in his final year of primary. By the time our new baby is a sunbeam, Kierra will also be out of primary. It was very enjoyable to just sit with my husband (and my parents who came) and enjoy the program. This is the only year for a long time where we will be able to sit in sacrament meeting without kids. I love to watch my kids sing Primary Songs and wave at me when they get on the stand to say their part.

10 weeks to go!

Sometimes I can't believe that we only have 10 weeks to go and other times D-day seems forever away! I'm definately to the uncomfortable part of pregnancy. I feel huge and can't believe that our baby still has to double in size before she'll come out. OUCH! I am thoroughly enjoying feeling her move though. I love knowing that this is the last time (yes, it is the last time!) I am going to be pregnant because I enjoy everything just a little more. Still don't have a name yet though!

Today...You're the peacemaker!

When I was at Time out for Women last weekend, we heard a wonderful speaker by the name of Mary Ellen Edmunds. She started out her talk by giving us very familiar scenerios that would make us mad or frustrated and then asking us what we would do in those situations. Then talked about other things we could do to be "a peacemaker". She kept saying "remember, today...you're a peacemaker." She is very funny! I wish she would have been with me in the Wal-mart parking lot today. I had just finished my shopping trip and was loading the trunk with the groceries while Kyson was getting himself into his seat. I heard someone honking but didn't really think anything of it and kept loading the groceries. Then I heard that really long honk where you know someone is mad and pressing their horn with all their might. I turned to look and found out that the lady was honking at me because she wanted my parking spot and I guess I wasn't going fast enough. I just stared at her! I couldn't believe she was actually honking at me! When I looked at her she lifted her arms in the air and looked at me like "What is taking you so long? I need that spot!" I was shocked. Who does that? So, instead of being the peacemaker that I should be, I slowed down. I took extra long making sure Kyson was in his seat and took the cart back to the cart return instead of just leaving it by the car. She finally drove away and of coarse, squeeled her tires as she did it. I don't know what I could have done to be the peacemaker but oh well. We can't win 'em all!

Time out for Women

This weekend I was able to go to Logan with my dear friends Amy, Michelle and Laura to attend "Time out for Women". It was an incredible weekend!!! For those of you who have never heard of it, it is put on by the church and women from all over come together to listen to speakers, hear music about the gospel and learn about being better people. We learned some wonderful things, laughed, cried, slept (a little) and had lots of yummy food. There are so many wonderful things that I got out of this weekend but the thing that really stuck with me is this. We, as mothers, often don't feel appreciated, especially by our children. Day after day we do everything for our children with no thanks from them. In fact, sometimes they complain about us and what they don't have. What we have to remember is that our Heavenly Father appreciates us and everything that we do for his children. It's a simple thought really but makes me feel appreciated. If you ever get a chance to go to Time out for Women, do it! It is a great way to make you want to be a better person. I am also thankful for Dale for being so willing to stay home with my kids while I went. They said he did lots of fun things with them. He's a great dad!

No sugar for a day?

I have the doctor's appt. tomorrow where I have to have the glucose test. Anyone who has had a baby knows about the yummy yummy orange drink that we get to drink. I've never really done anything beforehand like not eating sugar the day before and I've never failed the test. For some reason, I decided to go the test prepared this time. So I put a "No Sugar!" sign on my fridge today to remind me not to eat any sugar. I can't believe how hard it was and how much sugar I eat without even realizing it. The worst part of it was that I had made some really yummy chocolate chip cookies on Sunday night and they just sat on the counter, screaming my name. I did have one for breakfast because I thought I could get the sugar out of my system by tomorrow but eventually I had to put them in the cupboard so I wouldn't see them anymore. The test is in the morning and I'm bringing some of the chocolate chip cookies with me and I can't wait to eat them after it is over!

Anniverary dinner

Since our anniversary and Lisa and Paul's anniversary are both in August, we decided to go out to dinner together. A lot of people recommended Ruth's Chris so we decided to go there. Before we left we were telling Jadon where we were going and that it's a really expensive steak place. He told us no food is worth that much money. I told him that spending a night with my husband and having good food is worth it to me. We did have a good time. It was a very nice setting and we had a great waiter. I have to say that I've had steaks for a lot less money that were just as good. But the dessert....yummy yummy yummy! We had a good time visiting and laughing. I love going out with Dale, anywhere. I'm so thankful for such a wonderful husband who always makes me feel good about myself and can always make me laugh.
