He always cracks me up!

Jaxon has a way of really making me laugh. He says the funniest things that are funny to me but he doesn't say it to be funny. Does that make sense? Yesterday we were talking about swear words because there is a boy on his baseball team that takes the name of the Lord in vain a lot. He asked me if I ever went on a date with a boy with an earring. I told him that Daddy use to have an earring and he said "But ne's nice. Did you ever go on a date with someone that says dog spelled backwords?" I said probably not but knew that I did...no reason for him to know. Anyway, he said "If I ever go on a date with a girl and she says dog spelled backwords, that's it...I'm never going out with her again!!!" It was so cute. I just hope he keeps that a goal forever.

Happy Easter!

We had a fun Easter Sunday. We got up and had breakfast and got ready for church before we did the Easter basket thing. The Easter Bunny decided to make up a code for the kids. Their clues were in code that they had to decipher. They did a good job figuring it out together and finding their baskets. After church and Sunday naps, we had a good Easter dinner and then the kids played catch with Dad until Jaxon cut his knee open and that was the end of that and to him, the end of the world. The best part of the day for me was that the kids let me take their pictures all morning. Now I can't wait to scrapbook Easter 2008!

This might seem like a weird thing to put in my blog but if I don't, I will forget it. I was sitting on the couch when Jaxon came home from school today. He came over and sat next to me and hugged me. Then he said "Mom, I love your boobs, they are so cozy." I got a good laugh out of that one. Later on when I told Dale about it, he said "Like father, like son". Sorry if this offends anyone!

I think I'm a little OCD!

I decided today that I am probably a little bit of a freak about my new carpet staying clean. When we first got the carpet, I told the kids that no shoes were allowed on the carpet. They have been really good about it. They always take off their shoes right when they walk in the house and they tell their friends to do the same. Well, today I came into the kitchen and found Jake standing there with his pants down. He had recently gotten home from school and hadn't taken his shoes off yet. I asked him why his pants were down. He said "I just went to the bathroom outside" I asked him why he went outside. He told me that he had to go really bad but couldn't get to the bathroom because his shoes were on. I felt kind of bad. At least he didn't wet his pants!

A pair of scissors and a 3 year old

Kyson loves to cut! I was doing a project today and had my paper cutter out and he wanted to use it. I told him he couldn't but he could use scissors to cut my scraps. He kept himself busy for a really long time just cutting off little tiny pieces of paper. When he was done cutting up the whole paper, he asked me for another... and another... and another.


When Kierra got home for school, she joined him. She decided to make his name out of paper for him for his wall. Every time she cut out a letter, she gave him the scraps and he cut them up. He just sat on the barstool and cut pieces off to the ground. After he was done on the barstool, he moved to the tile and cut little tiny pieces onto the carpet. He probably spent over and hour just cutting. It worked out great for me because I got my project done which I will post on my blog as soon as Kierra's new room is done. Kierra couldn't believe that I was letting him make such a mess. I told her it's good for him to cut and that I could easily sweep up the mess when he was done. Besides there's not a lot of things that are cuter than a little kid who just learned how to cut!

There's nothing like shopping with a friend!

Today I had the oppurtunity to go shopping with my good friend Amy. She had to find clothes for a wedding and I took the oppurtunity to get an Easter outfit. After going to Dillards and finding 2 very beautiful dresses that were outrageously priced, we went to Christopher and Banks and I felt very pampered. The sales ladies were very good about going to get what we wanted and brought it to our dressing rooms for us. They don't ever do that at Wal-mart or Target. I was so grateful to my sister for taking care of my kids so that I could take some time to really shop instead of just hurrying in and out of the stores. I had a fabulous time with my friend and I would love to be able to do that more often!
