Another Field day has come and gone. I have been in charge of field day with my friend, Liz, for several years. I decided I wanted to help run the show after being a parent volunteer and had to try to explain to a whole bunch of little kids how to form a line. Annoying! Liz and I have been doing field day together for 4 or 5 years and each year we learn a few things to make the next year run smoother.
Today was the B,C,D track field day and that's a ton of kids! We have 75 parents volunteers and that's not enough! The kids rotate around to 9 different stations and we try to have water at as many as we can. We have 6 hoses that we hook to each other so that we can get a super long hose to fill up everyone's buckets.
This year I brought Kyson with me and had him go around with Jake's class. He had a blast participating in the games and felt pretty cool hanging out with Jake and his friends.
This is Jaxon playing one of the kids favorites, water baseball. He was taking the game a little more seriously than most of the class, especially the girls. He kept pitching too fast and they couldn't even hit the ball. Finally, they made him throw underhand.,
This is Kierra with some of her friends eating sno-cones. Sno-cones are definately the favorite for most everyone. What is it about ice with flavoring that kids love so much? I love watching my kids have fun with their friends.
