New Primary Classes
You gotta love the first Sunday of the new year when your kids get their new Primary teachers. Our ward doesn't do the breakfast thing the day before so our kids get to find out who their new teachers are on the Sunday that they go to their new class. It's kind of a madhouse in the cultural hall after Sacrament meeting as the Primary presidency says the teachers name and then reads the list of the kids in that class. Jaxon was excited that he gets to go to Senior primary now. I saw him in the hall in between class and sharing time and he had a huge smile on his face when he showed me his new Book of Mormon that his teacher gave him. It was just the cheap blue ones that the missionaries give out but to him it was the coolest thing ever. To top that off he got a new red pencil and his teacher said he could underline things in his Book of Mormon with it. He couldn't believe that someone was giving him permission to write in a book. I went to class with a smile on my face because of his excitement. After church he was even more excited. He came running up to me in the hall and said "Mom, can you please save up all your money so that you can get my name in GOLD on my new Book of Mormon?" Then he opened his scriptures and showed me the part in ROMONI that he got to underline. What a great way to start the new year!
