35 weeks!

I am 35 weeks pregnant today. Our baby is scheduled to be born on November 26th, the day before Thanksgiving. She'll be here 4 weeks from today! I'm excited for her to be here but I think I'm really going to miss being pregnant. I love sitting on the couch every night and feeling her move around. I've decided to try and enjoy every day I have left as much as I can. Sometimes it's hard because my kids are off track and some days they have a hard time entertaining themselves and I don't have the energy to do anything fun with them. It's beautiful outside and I would love to take them to the zoo but I think if I had to walk those hills I would deliver a baby there. Anyway, for the most part, this has been a pretty enjoyable pregnancy and I'm thankful that we will have a new little baby in our home again!

Need a good laugh?

If you need a good laugh take a look at the "This is what happens..."post on my sister, Lisa's blog. You can get to it from my blog under blogs I read. It's pretty funny.

Thankful for so many kids!

I took my kids to the park today which is something I haven't done in a long time. The kids had a great time together. As soon as we got there they all ran, together, to the playground while I waddled behind them. As I watched them run together I was so thankful that my kids will always have a friend. They all played together the whole time. Sometimes two would pair off, sometimes 3, sometimes all of them but no one ever played alone. I sat on the grass and watched them and enjoyed every moment. It was a beautiful day and I'm glad that I had my camera so I can remember it!

A week at the cabin

I just spent a fun week at my cabin. I realized today that I didn't take one picture while I was there and I regret that because it was so pretty up there. The drive home was awesome! The fall colors were so pretty. I basically just scrapbooked and watched movies while I was there. It was great! I got 43 pages done and am all caught up on Kyson's book. That's a great feeling. One of the highlights of the trip was when Jake lost his first tooth today. That seems like a dumb thing to be excited about. I was worried about him because his permanent teeth are already almost all the way in and he did not want to pull those baby teeth out. He was playing the WII and said "My tooth just fell out!" It's the cutest teeny little tooth. I make my kids write a note to the tooth fairy asking that we can keep the tooth so I can put it in his scrapbook. Anyway, I had a fun week but it's good to be home and I'm sooooo excited to sleep in my own bed tonight!

Egyptian Death Mask Day

I had the opportunity to volunteer for a few hours in Jadon's class today. They are studying Egypt right now and we made Egyptian Death Masks today. We used gauze that had plaster on it and put several coats on their face. The best part was when we got to put it over their mouths and they couldn't talk to us. It was really fun.
This is Jadon and his friend Andrew waiting for their masks to dry. Don't they look scary. Inside their masks, I know they were trying to smile.
Before we started putting the plaster on their faces, we cover their face in Vaseline so the plaster wouldn't stick as bad. It still kind of hurt to pull the mask off after it was dry. If you are like me, and you like to pick scabs, it is fun to pull it off.
After all the kids were done, some of the kids talked their parents into letting us have them do masks on us. It was fun! They are going to decorate them at school. I told Jadon to do mine. I can't wait to see what it looks like.

Kierra's new room!

So, here it is. Kierra's new room. Dale tells people that if they have any indigestion, this is the place to come. I love it!!!! It's so pink! The babies side isn't done yet. We are putting her crib together today. This picture actually makes the walls look a little less pink than they really are. It looks like there is a neon sign in her window because the sun mixed with the pink puts off a pink light that we can see in the hallway. I still love it. I think Dale did a GREAT job with his first paint job on this own.
